Health-related Evaluation of Emissions from Building Products
Building products can be a major source of indoor air pollution by volatile organic compounds (VOC).
Therefore, AURO had coatings materials from various fields of application tested according to the AgBB evaluation scheme.
What is the AgBB?
The German Committee for Health-related Evaluation of Building Products (AgBB) was founded in 1997. Among others, the high-level committee is constituted of:
- The Federal Environment Agency (UBA)
- The German Institute for Building Technology
- The Conference of State Ministers and Senators for Town Building, Building and Housing Affairs
- The Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM)
- The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR)
The AgBB evaluation scheme
In order to define a uniform and reproducible health-related evaluation of VOC emissions from building products for construction and renovation, the AgBB has set up a detailed evaluation scheme.
The AgBB evaluation is decisive for the approval of building products by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt).
